Sponsored content policy

Last updated 2026-09-16

Data Center Briefing is published by Substrate Media LLC. Some of what we publish is paid for by an issuer, a fund, or another sponsor. This page is the standing policy for how that content is labeled, what it may say, and what we disclose. It is linked from every disclosure block.

Labels

A full piece paid for by a sponsor is labeled SPONSORED BRIEFING above the headline. A short unit inside the daily is labeled SPONSORED when it is written in our voice, or A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR when it is written in the sponsor's. The label sits where the content sits, in the same type system as everything around it, and is never renamed, recolored, or restyled at a sponsor's request.

Disclosure

Every Sponsored Briefing ends with a disclosure block set in the same size as the body. It names Data Center Briefing, its publisher Substrate Media LLC, the sponsor, the form and amount of compensation, and the regulation that applies: Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 for public issuers, or Rule 506(c) of Regulation D for private offerings marketed to accredited investors. For units inside the daily, the label is the disclosure and the sponsor's landing page carries the rest.

What sponsored content may say

Only figures that appear in the sponsor's offering documents or public filings, attributed as such. No return projections beyond what those documents state. The briefing's job ends at the call to action; eligibility (accredited status, jurisdiction), offering terms, and risk factors live on the sponsor's page. Data Center Briefing does not verify a sponsor's claims and does not hold a position in any sponsor.

Separation from editorial

Editorial never quietly covers a current sponsor. If a sponsor's sector or a competitor is discussed in editorial, the relationship is disclosed inline in one sentence. Sponsors have no say over editorial content, headlines, or timing.

Webinar briefings

A webinar briefing is a Sponsored Briefing whose call to action is a live session. The host is a named person from the desk. The sponsor's principal presents the offering and takes questions. Registration data is used to run the session, its reminders, and its replay, and is tagged with the sponsor's name so we can report attendance to the sponsor in aggregate. We do not sell registrant lists.

Nothing here is advice

Nothing published by Data Center Briefing, sponsored or editorial, is investment advice, an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security. Securities offered under Regulation D are available only to investors who meet the applicable eligibility requirements and involve risk, including loss of principal.
