The desk

The investment intelligence behind the AI buildout.

The AI trade is decided in the physical world. Chips, power, land, and water are the constraint, and constraints are where returns live. Most investors are overexposed to the software layer and underexposed to the infrastructure underneath it. Data Center Briefing exists to close that gap.

We are investor-side, not operator-side. Every item gets two moves: what happened, and what it means for capital. We lead with the figure, name the source, and say plainly when a deal, a ticker, or a narrative does not deserve capital. The pieces that cost us something to publish are the ones that earn trust.

The desk speaks as an institution. Bylines appear only when a real, named person wrote or contributed. Nothing we publish is investment advice, and we hold no position in any issuer we cover.

Editor of record

Cecil Robles. Responsible for every word that publishes under the Data Center Briefing name, and the host of the desk's webinar briefings.

Publisher

Data Center Briefing is published by Substrate Media LLC. The publisher's name appears on the masthead line and in disclosure blocks; the reader-facing voice is Data Center Briefing.

How sponsored content works

Some pieces are paid for by an issuer. Those pieces carry the label Sponsored Briefing above the headline and a full disclosure at the bottom, in the same type as the body, naming the issuer, the compensation, and the regulation that applies. Short sponsored units inside the daily are labeled Sponsored and link off-site. Editorial never quietly covers a current sponsor. The full policy is at /disclosures.
